Concerns heard at health fair

AFF Manager England, Carole Rudd, met serving personnel at a recent Aldershot Garrison health fair. It was a busy event where Carole was able to explain how AFF can help with issues and how it uses evidence to influence policy.

Carole was also able to signpost several people who had complex enquiries to AFF’s Specialists, on subjects such as Foreign & Commonwealth visa issues, lack of availability of SFA, current mortgage rates and general cost of living concerns.

Nikki Acott, SEO Head People & Engagement, HQ Aldershot Garrison, said: “This is our first Garrison & Community Health Fair for 2023. It was amazing to see so many organisations come along to support the event, and always lovely to see AFF as they offer such valuable advice and support to our families. We had over 300 people attend on this occasion. Planning is afoot for our next health fair on 22 November 2023 and we look forward to AFF supporting the event once again.”
